Clovis West vs. Edison

For future Cal quarterback Beau Sweeney and the rest of the 2-0 Clovis West football team, the 2007 season has been one of change. Although the changes have not stopped the Golden Eagles from marching toward a potential Section Championship, a new coaching staff, new coordinator, and a new philosophy has presented adjustments for players. After just two games, there is reason to think that the team is starting to "get it".

Coach Marty Martin's first Clovis West football team started the season with a very tough opener against Bakersfield (Calif.) Liberty high school, and the new offense was quickly put to the test. Like it is on any level of football, one of the top concerns coming into the game was breaking in the offensive line, which was manned by a number of inexperienced juniors.
