Elysian Fields defensive end on the radar

Expectations are lofty for the Elysian Fields Yellow Jackets in 2007 after a 9-4 season last year. One of the reasons for the lofty expectations are nine returning starters on defense led by 2009 defensive end prospect Kyle Kriegel. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound defensive end prospect earned first team 2A all-state recognition after a dominant sophomore campaign.

All Kriegel did as a sophomore was record 116 total tackles, 38 tackles for loss and nine sacks. What are career numbers for some high school defensive linemen were turned in over the course of 13 games by Kriegel. He was awarded a place on the 2A first team all-state squad after his dominant campaign. He was the only sophomore selected to the 2A first team.
