USC targets Johnson

As a junior college player, Devin Johnson, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound outside linebacker from Glendora (Calif.) Citrus Community College, isn't afforded the same opportunities that a high school recruit is.

Time isn't on his side, as he fights to gain exposure, scholarship offers and eventually playing time on a limited schedule.

With 31 tackles, two sacks, an interception and two defensive touchdowns through his first three games of the season, Johnson has sent a message, loud and clear, that he can play football, and the University of Southern California coaching staff has heard it.
