Tech lands first in-state commit

Louisiana Tech landed its first in-state commitment on Thursday when Dutchtown offensive guard Kevin Saia informed Bulldogs head coach Derek Dooley of his decision.

Saia is Tech's fourth commitment and second this week. On Tuesday, Mississippii quarterback Bret Jefcoat committed. Missouri City, Texas, defensive tackle Philip Longino committed in May and Gilmer, Texas, wide receiver Houston Tuminello committed in August.

The 6-foot-2, 301-pound Saia anchors a very impressive line that produced a pair of 1,000-yard rushers last season.
