Purdue failed to gain more than 300 yards in total offense for just the 15th time in the Joe Tiller Era. The Boilermakers are 5-10 in those games.

The 272 yards of total offense were the worst offensive showing since last year's 12-0 loss to Penn State (246).

Prior to the Boilermakers' last drive, an 88-yard march in 13 plays, they had just 184 yards, 27 short of the Tiller Era low set in a loss at Ohio State in 2001.

Purdue had three interceptions in a game for the first time since winning at Indiana in the final game of the 2005 season.

Brandon King, David Pender and Torri Williams each intercepted Todd Boeckman, all on similar types of plays, with Ohio State looking to beat the Boilermakers deep.

The total number of interceptions snared by Purdue all of last season.

The Boilermakers already have nine, as Justin Scott, Terrell Vinson and Williams each have two, while Cliff Avril, King and Pender each have picks as well.

Last season, Scott had three interceptions, but no one else had more than one. This season, three players - Scott, Vinson and Williams - already have two.
