Gray hoping for a chance with Louisville

Four-star cornerback Maurice Gray of Butler County Community College in Kansas was heavily recruited out of high school, but ended up in the Junior College ranks. After a sensational freshman season, and continued excellence as a sophomore, the 5-10, 180-pound Gray has a second chance at D-1 and plans to make the most of it.

Gray came out of Warner Robins High School in Georgia. Last year as a freshman at Butler County he tallied 45 tackles and five interceptions to earn honorable mention All-Jayhawk Conference honors. Opposing offenses are more wary of Gray's presence on the field this year, but he has still managed to record 36 tackles and two interceptions this season, leading Butler County to an undefeated record and No. 2 national ranking.
