Instate junior backing up the hype
Not since Kevin Grady played for East Grand Rapids High School has a West Michigan prep freshman made the splash that Allendale running back Hersey Jackson did two seasons ago. Now a junior, the 6-0, 215-pound Jackson continues to build on his reputation through constant improvement on his weaknesses and continued development of his strengths.
Starting with Jackson's strengths, the most obvious characteristic when you see him in person is his frame. He has been ripped out since before high school (able to dunk a basketball since the seventh grade) and looks like a collegiate player already. He first timed a sub 4.5 40-yard dash as a freshman and is a star sprinter on the Falcons' track team.
His potential has already produced a scholarship offer from Cincinnati and interest from the likes of Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Connecticut, Alabama, Florida State, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Indiana and Nebraska.
