Johnson looking hard at the Tigers

Cuero (TX) defensive lineman Kaeron Johnson's recruiting has gone pretty well. The 6-foot-2 Johnson said that the attention has been nice, but it's still be mostly from a few schools.

Johnson said that when he has talked to coaches, he has tried to find out more about the different schools. He did admit that one of his favorite coaches to talk with has been Missouri coach Craig Kuligowski.

Johnson said things have been very busy around Cuero and he hasn't been able to get away for any visits. He had hopes of taking one, but wasn't able to make it to one of the schools he's had near the top.

Johnson said while he waits for a Baylor offer, he has been looking heavily at the Tigers. He said the Tigers' 5-0 start has stuck in his mind.

Johnson said that this past weekend really showed him what he wanted to see about the Tiger defense. He said it was fun to see the kind of chances they were willing to take.

Johnson said that he was ready to take his visit before the start of the season, but with the Tigers' hot start, he said that he was more excited than ever to get to Columbia.

Johnson said that he wasn't ready to pick favorites on his list, but said that as he gets closer to his official visits, he's going to have to start separating his teams.

In the meantime, Johnson said he has been keeping busy with his teammates in Cuero. He said the season has been good so far and he hopes that the coming weeks will get even better.

Johnson hopes to be in Columbia in late November or early December to check out the Tigers.
