Ford enjoys Iowa victory
Running back Jason Ford made the drive up to Iowa City on Saturday for an unofficial visit with the Hawkeyes. The 6-foot-0, 220-pound Ford, who initially committed to Iowa back in June, has reopened his recruiting this month, but said he thoroughly enjoyed Iowa's 10-6 victory over Illinois on Saturday.
Ford, who rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown in Althoff's 43-14 loss on Friday night, had a chance to go down to the Hawkeye locker room after the game and talk with the players and coaches, including head coach Kirk Ferentz.
Was the visit enough to keep Ford from looking at other schools? While it appears Iowa did not do anything to hurt their chances, the running back said he still wants to make a couple visits to make sure he made the right decision.
The first visit on Ford's list will be an unofficial to Illinois this weekend when the Illini host Michigan. He may also set something up with Wisconsin, but has not finalized any details at this point.
Through eight games, Ford now has 1,672 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns in his senior season. For his career, the three-star prospect has more than 6,300 yards and 60 touchdowns.
