Interest picks up for Hurdle

Interest has been rising for Highland Springs, Va. quarterback Matthew Hurdle in recent weeks. Virginia Tech is one of the schools taking a long hard look at the 6-foot-3, 176-pounder.

"I don't have any offers yet, but Virginia Tech and Maryland have called," he said. "Virginia Tech was about three weeks ago and Maryland was last week.

"They both are just saying they are going to evaluate me since the quarterback situation has changed. I like what both of those schools have to offer and definitely think I can work with them."

In addition, East Carolina, Old Dominion and Richmond have also been showing interest.
