South Carolina DE enjoys Cats' big win
Not all of Kentucky top football recruiting targets were able to make it to town for the Wildcats' triple-overtime shocker over No. 1 ranked LSU last weekend. Thanks to a national broadcast on CBS, however, many were still able to see UK notch one of the biggest wins in school history.
Count St. Matthews (S.C.) Calhoun County star Donte Rumph among that group. The three-star defensive end says he enjoyed watching the Cats continue their climb to national prominence.
"Yeah, I got to see the game. It was a great game," Rumph said. "Unfortunately, I had some plans, so I didn't get to see all of the overtimes, but I was really glad to hear they won. I was pulling for them."
"I wasn't really surprised," Rumph said. "I thought they could do it. They showed me a lot of heart when I was up there (for the Louisville game). I like their team."
