Three-star Gouveia updates his season

Ashburn (Va.) Stone Bridge athlete and Virginia Tech commitment Jeron Gouveia is putting together a solid season. The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder has helped his team to a 7-1 record so far this season and Gouveia has been a major reason for the productive year.

"The season is going pretty well," he said. "We lost to Robinson in our second game, but lately we've been playing really well. The defense has only let up about six points a game. On offense, Patrick Thompson is a really good quarterback although I had to step in for him since he got hurt this week.

"We knew that Patrick might not be able to go and I worked out passing the ball a bit last week. It's not my thing, but I'm excited to get even more scoring opportunities. I can't remember my statistics, but I know I've had some big games.
