Lyndell Gibson updates his season

Virginia Beach (Va.) Salem linebacker Lyndell Gibson is a leader for the 8-0 SunDevils this season and a big reason why they are undefeated. The 6-foot-0, 212-pounder talked with Hokiehaven.com to update his season and what's going on with Virginia Tech.

"The season is going good," he said. "We started out at the beginning of the season kind of young, but we're getting better together as a team. A lot of people are stepping up and acting like veterans and hopefully we can get to the state championship.

"I'm doing really well. I'm not sure stat wise, but I'm supporting the defense. I had a real good game a couple weeks ago where I posted 13 tackles, three for loss and a sack. That's been pretty regular as I've seen a big improvement in my game. I'm stronger, faster and have a lot more technique."
