Davis watches Tigers up close
Cahokia (IL) TE London Davis had been wanting to get to Columbia for one of Missouri's games since committing to the Tigers back in July. This past weekend for the homecoming game against Texas Tech, Davis was finally able to make it to the game.
Davis said he enjoyed the trip, and was encouraged by what he saw in Columbia. He added that it was amazing to see others excited that he was a Tiger.
During the game, Davis spent plenty of time talking with future teammates. The future Tigers had a good time talking during the game, especially when it was to encourage another member of the 2008 class to join them.
Davis joked that he didn't forget about the game itself. He said he was impressed with the kind of performance the Tigers had against the Red Raiders.
Davis has stayed in close touch with Missouri's coach Cornell Ford. The two have been talking about the upcoming weeks and hope to see more of each other in the coming months.
The weekend was a bittersweet one for Davis. He said that he enjoyed the Tiger victory and was excited to be in town, but was frustrated after dropping their game on Friday. Davis said that he thought things could have gone a different way, but they had to refocus this upcoming week.
Davis wasn't sure when he would be in Columbia again, but hoped to possibly make it to one more game before taking his official visit.
