Brown ecstatic about Shrine Bowl selection

Cheraw (S.C.) three-star wide receiver Jaron Brown attended South Carolina's matchup with Vanderbilt over the weekend, and despite the struggles of the Gamecock offense, Brown enjoyed his time at Williams-Brice.

"I had a good time," the 6-foot-2, 187-pound Brown said. "It was a tough game for USC because they had the fumbles and the interception early in the game, and they had such bad starting field position for their offense and Vandy came away with the win."

Brown paid particular attention to the play of the Carolina receivers.

"That's one of the big things I'm looking at as far how much help they need and whether I'll get a chance to play pretty early in my career," he said. "Like, what would I have to do to get in the rotation. I really like their offense overall and how they use their receivers."
