Campion talks U commitment

The 2008 recruiting season is in full swing, but that has not stopped the Minnesota coaches from recruiting beyond this season. They picked up their first commitment for the class of '09 when Fergus Falls offensive lineman Josh Campion notified Tim Brewster before the NDSU game that he wanted to be a Golden Gopher. Campion is one of five Minnesotans in the class of 2009 with an offer from Minnesota.

Campion had been thinking about giving his commitment to Minnesota for some time, but wanted to do it in person. He finally had the opportunity to talk with Coach Brewster just before the North Dakota State game.

Minnesota was the first school to offer Campion, but he was receiving steady mail from Iowa, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Illinois, Ohio State, and Michigan along with many other top programs.
