Louisville still in Hall's plans

Rashard Hall, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound safety from St. Augustine, Fla., is scheduled to take an official visit to the University of Louisville this coming weekend to see the Cardinals take on Pittsburgh.

"Yeah, I'll be there," Hall told Cardinalsports.com Wednesday evening. "I'm leaving on Saturday at seven in the morning. I'm supposed to be there at about 10:30 am, or something like that."

It will be a long, early trip for the two-star prospect who is also considering Clemson, Mississippi State, and Ball State among his more than a dozen scholarship offers. "I've been waiting to get up there for awhile and now I get the chance. I"'m pretty excited about that."

Hall, who said he would make the trip by himself, has built good relationship with Cardinal assistant coach Mark Nelson.

"When I come up I am definitely coming to be looking at the football facilities and the campus," Hall said. "I think the coach is going to have some stuff for what I want to major in, which is business. I'm definitely going to be checking out the business program. And I want to check out the staff and see what they're doing and what I'm doing and see what's best for me."

Hall said the trip to Louisville would likely be his only official visit during the season. He plans to visit other schools on his list in December and January, after his football season.

He and his teammates are 6-1, and they are in the driver's seat to win their district. "I've been really blessed. It's a blessing that I've been having an exceptional season," Hall reported. "Me and my teammates are doing real well. We've played seven games and I have six interceptions, six touchdowns on offense, and 21 or 22 receptions. I've been having an exceptional season. Teamwork really pays off. If it wasn't for my teammates I wouldn't have the stats I have. I'm really thankful to them."

"You can be Calvin Johnson, but you have to have a team, and we're all trying to reach one goal, and that's to win a state championship," he added.
