Ford wraps up senior season

Three-star running back Jason Ford wrapped up his illustrious high school football career last week as Belleville Althoff Catholic finished the season with a disappointing 3-6 record. The down year was not due to a lack of effort from Ford however, as he once again put up huge numbers with 195 carries for 1,773 yards and 21 touchdowns.

As a four-year starter, the 5-foot-11, 215-pound Ford finished his high school career with more than 6,400 yards rushing and over 70 touchdowns. Despite opponents always keying on him, the three-star prospect was able to raise his yards per carry every year, finishing with a 9.1 yard average as a senior.

With Ford's senior season over, the focus now turns to recruiting as he opened things back up this month after initially making a verbal commitment to Iowa back in June. The Hawkeyes are still in the thick of things and Ford gave his unofficial visit to Iowa City high marks two weeks ago, but he also plans to visit other schools. The first on Ford's list was Illinois, where visited this past weekend, and future trips could include Wisconsin and Kansas.
