Louisiana QB visits

It appeared that Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic quarterback Ryan Lewis was off the market this past July when he made a verbal commitment to Rice, but this past weekend the 6-foot-3, 200-pound signal caller was on campus at Purdue. He talked about his visit and how the trip to Purdue got set up on Sunday night.

Lewis is a three-year starter for Baton Rouge Catholic. In his sophomore season he threw for 1,230 yards and 16 touchdowns against just six interceptions. He improved those numbers to 1,790 yards and 20 touchdowns against five interceptions as a junior. This season he said the offense is not gelling the way they had planned, but he still has thrown for over 1,000 yards and six touchdowns to date.
