Rivals250 DE takes first trip
Burien (Wash.) Kennedy stud defensive end Everette Thompson embarked upon his first official visit this past weekend. The 6-foot-5, 240-pounder was among the group of prospects taking in the Oregon Ducks' victory over the USC Trojans in Eugene, Ore. this past weekend. Duck Sports Authority talked with Thompson about his trip and his future visit plans.
Thompson said that he enjoyed his time in Eugene.
"Everything was good. It was an exciting game and I liked the atmosphere out there," he said. "It was a good college town feeling. It was just crazy to see them beat USC."
"He was accompanied by one of his parents on the visit.
"I just went with my mom," he said. "She enjoyed everything. She enjoyed the facilities, the game, and the coaches as well."
Thompson was familiar with two of the other official visitors before he arrived in Eugene.
I just know Nick Cody and Mychal Rivera, the tight end," Thompson said. "I knew them before the trip. I knew Mychal from the (U.S. Army) all-American combine in San Antonio and I knew Nick Cody just from being out here in Washington."
