Madison recovers, watches Tigers
Everyone knows that injuries are part of football. However, no one likes to here the words 'season-ending' associated with their injury, especially during their senior year. Unfortunately for South Harrison lineman Brad Madison, that's exactly what a broken foot meant. He said that rehab has gone well so far, but it's still hard not being on the field.
After his injury, Madison said it was easy to relate to Missouri's Pig Brown after seeing Brown tear his achillies this past weekend. He said that the Tigers would have to get contributions from other players.
Madison was in attendance this past weekend for the game against Iowa State and the Tigers have continued to impress. He added that he wasn't worried about the performance of the defense, even though he knew some people had concerns.
Madison added that he understood a difference in the crowd this weekend, but over the past few years, had been impressed with the growth in the stands during Tiger games.
While at the game, Madison spent some time talking with several of the other recruits at the game. While some are already future teammates, and some could be, Madison had a good time talking with the other guys at the game.
Madison said he also stays in close touch with coach Andy Hill about how things are going. After the injury, Madison Hill gave him some of the best help about how to start himself on the process of recovery.
For now, Madison is just working towards getting healthy. At a time where most recruits are trying to set up official visits, Madison said he isn't as worried too much about rushing to set a date for his visit having been around the program longer than most of the class of 2008.
