Virginia Tech has three commitments prepping this year at Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy. Hokiehaven.com caught up with head coach Robert Prunty to find out more about them along with one other prospect the Hokies are monitoring.
Aside from defensive ends Leon Mackey and Quinton Coples, Virginia Tech is showing a bit of interest in four-star cornerback Josh Pleasant.
"Ole Miss is coming tomorrow to look more at him," Prunty said. "He's also getting interest from Arizona State and the list goes on. Right now he's got offers from Akron and Kent State.
"I guess when the season finishes we'll have a better idea of what's going on with his recruitment."
Is Virginia Tech showing interest?
"They have and I talked to coach Beamer about them," he said. "I've told them and all the schools how he's got great hips, good balance and terrific footwork. He's a ball hawk who has three punt returns for touchdowns and four interceptions.
"He's a fully qualifier that will be ready to go to school in January. He's in the mode of Brandon Flowers or Ras-I Dowling."
