Tide in mix for Bolden
With a pair of running back commitments already in the 2008 class, Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide are looking to assemble one of the best backfield classes in the nation with one more key playmaker. Among the Tide's top remaining targets is Baton Rouge power back Brandon Bolden who was in Tuscaloosa over the weekend to watch the Tide take on LSU.
"My mom, dad and uncle went to the game with me and it was the first time any of us had been there. The atmosphere was unbelievable. On the way home we all agreed we haven't seen anything like that before. Nothing could be better than those fans," Bolden said. "The game itself was a great game. It was back and forth with both team making plays to keep them in it. I was impressed because Alabama was not as talented as LSU but they played hard and never gave up. Alabama put the work in and they had a chance to win that game.
"I went to Alabama for camp and had a good time. This weekend helped them more because I saw everyone in a football environment and there fans were great. It's what I expect college football to be about."
Bolden, 5-foot-11, 208 pounds, spoke with the Tide coaching staff following the game to discuss where the Louisiana native might fit into Saban's plans for the Crimson Tide.
