Finau's recruitment takes flight

The recruitment for Phoenix (Ariz.) Community College defensive end prospect Tevita Finau is picking up now. The Rivals 4-Star standout, who is originally from New Zealand, might just be the most sought after JC-player in the country. With 12 sacks 9 games, the freshman has dominated the line of scrimmage for the Golden Bears.

Finau is currently on a mid-week recruiting visit to West Virginia, which will last from his Wednesday night arrival to Friday morning, when he's scheduled to head back to Phoenix. The Golden Bears play their final game of the season on Saturday against Pima College, and are looking to close the season on a three-game winning streak after starting the year with just one win over their first 7 games.

"Three in a row," Finau said. "That would be nice, definitely. No one expected us to win one game, let alone four on the season. Our win over Scottsdale was the first time we've beat them in 15 years. I had two sacks, so I think that's like 12 now on the season. I also had a few tackles for losses."

"Right now, I'm about to take off for West Virginia. It is a short trip, just for a couple of days. I fly back to Arizona on Friday, so I can play in our last game on Saturday. That's why I can't make the Cal-USC game. I was definitely planning on it."
