Northwestern is in a must-win situation, and the Wildcats will have their work cut out for them to beat Indiana on Saturday at Ryan Field.
By losing their last two games, the Wildcats must win each of their remaining two contests in order to reach their goal of getting invited to a bowl game. Step one, then, is to emerge with a victory over Indiana on Saturday.
The Hoosiers (6-4, 2-4 Big Ten) are already bowl-eligible and are looking to land in their first postseason game since 1993. But the Hoosiers know full well that they will have to earn one more win to have a realistic shot at getting a bowl berth, and with 7-3 Purdue coming up on their schedule next week, you can bet that IU considers this a must-win as well.
