In-state junior visits Blacksburg

Virginia Tech played host to at least one other 2009 prospect over the weekend for their big win over Florida State. What did the junior prospect think of the visit to Blacksburg?

"I thought it was a lot of fun, it was a great environment," Ashland (Va.) Patrick Henry running back Adrian Cavanaugh said. "I really liked the fans and how they interact with the game. The facilities were nice and so was the campus. I got to walk around a little bit on my own.

"I was especially impressed with the Virginia Tech defense. The turnovers they created sealed the game. I enjoyed watching Xavier Adibi too. They are recruiting me as a linebacker and I just like the way he plays."

Following the game, Cavanaugh went into the Hokies locker room.

"It was real nice," he said." I came in a little late and missed Coach Beamer's post game speech. I also got to talk to Coach Cavanaugh for a bit."
