UNC will play its hand tonight

Top-ranked North Carolina will play at 11:55 Eastern Time tonight in Las Vegas in the Findlay Toyota Las Vegas Classic, which began with two easy victories in Chapel Hill this past week.

The Tar Heels (3-0) face Old Dominion (3-1) and will then play either Louisville or Brigham Young on Saturday in the next game. Tonight's game will be broadcast on ESPNU.

Carolina opened this tournament with wins against Iona and South Carolina State, and although those were blowouts, it was apparent this team is starting to hone the rough edges and is beginning to blend as more of a unit.

"We tried to use the [110-64 win against South Carolina State] as a glorified practice," junior Danny Green said. "We had some good moments and some bad moments. We're hoping in Vegas, we'll have better games.

"We're sticking to our game plan. We're getting the ball inside first. You can see Tyler [Hansbrough] is getting his touches. We're hitting the offensive glass. We just have some things on defense we need to work on, boxing out. They had way too many offensive rebounds in the first half. Hopefully we'll continue to take steps forward."
