Ex-All-American sends pupil to West Virginia

West Virginia has added a committed booter who studied under former All-American Paul Woodside, and will become the second straight scholarshipped specialist from West Springfield High in Virginia.

Both Tyler Bitancurt's father and Woodside, a Mountaineer mainstay from 1980-84, confirmed Sunday night the punter-kicker-kickoff man pledges to the Mountaineers on an official visit this weekend.

The 6-foot, 175-pound senior, who played for former NFL punter Bill Renner and All-American Woodside for three seasons, can make all the kicks.
