UGA 5-star commit is an Army All-American
One of the reasons Georgia sits at number two in the Rivals recruiting rankings is five-star defensive tackle DeAngelo Tyson. Tyson is second best player at his position and he has been selected to play in the Army All-American Bowl.
"They came down to my school last Tuesday and we had a ceremony in the gym in front of my classmates," said Tyson about being officially selected to play in the Army All-American Bowl.
"It was real exciting - they gave me a hat and jersey and we had a little press conference. I was a little nervous up there in front of the school, but everything went well."
Tyson will head to San Antonio late in December and spend a week out there before the game is played on January 5.
"I am going to go out there on December 30 and that is when we start. My coach (Statesboro Head Coach Steve Pennington) will be going with me and a few other people too. I think it will be cool and I am excited about it."
The 6-foot-2, 297-pound interior defensive lineman will be going up against great competition in this name on a national stage and he is ready for the challenge.
