A big weekend of visitors
Fresno State will entertain a number of great recruits this weekend and chances are very good that many of them will commit following their visits. Here is a list of visitors we know will be coming with the likelihood of their commitments.
Long Beach (Calif.) Long Beach Poly High School offensive lineman Douglas Spacht is the lone commitment coming in this weekend as he committed to the Bulldogs a month ago. Our feeling is that his commitment to Fresno State is pretty solid and therefore we have given him a steady arrow as there appears to be no change in his course of action. Spacht is a solid looking prospect with a 3-star rating and chose the Bulldogs over Nevada, San Diego State, Washington State and UNLV.
Orange (Calif.) Orange Lutheran High School two-way standout Ricky Pemasa seems to be another guy that has a very good chance of committing to the Bulldogs this weekend as Fresno State has indicated they would like him to play outside linebacker and all of the other schools recruiting him want him as a running back. Pemasa also has an offer from Utah but told RedWaveReport.com last weekend that he thinks he may pull the trigger this weekend.
"I feel comfortable with Fresno State," Pemasa said. "I feel great about them. It feels great to possibly be a Bulldog soon."
Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic High School's Logan Harrell is another outstanding two-way player that picked up an offer from Fresno State last week after an in-home visit from Pat Hill. The Bulldogs are recruiting him as a defensive end and he has other offers from UNLV, Idaho, Idaho State and Montana. Our feeling is that Harrell will likely wait some time before making his decision as a number of other programs have now entered the picture, including Florida, where his father player nearly 40 years ago.
Humble (TX) Atascocita High School defensive tackle Anthony Williams is a guy who popped on to the scene last week after an in-home visit from defensive line coach Kerry Locklin. Williams has other offers from Idaho and Washington State but his offer from the Cougars could be in jeopardy due to the recent coaching changes in Pullman. Our feeling is that Fresno State may have a good chance at receiving a commitment from Williams over the weekend, as he fits the Bulldog mold and his only other visit reservation is set for Idaho in January.
On one other note, RedWaveReport.com has confirmed that Norco (Calif.) Norco High School outside linebacker Damion Whittington has changed his visit date to January 11. We caught up with Whittington this morning and he says he received a letter from the Bulldogs yesterday saying there was a mix-up in the dates, and that they would like him to come in January. We will have more on Whittington in the coming days.

The green arrows shows an increase in attention or mutual interest in an athlete, and it's possible the Bulldogs lead in his recruitment. Yellow arrows illustrate steady interest from the player, and the Bulldogs are among his top five. Red arrows indicate that the student-athlete might not have the Bulldogs in his top eight or there could be academic complications or other issues.
Fresno State will welcome in a group of visitors this weekend and it appears a few of them are solid locks to commit to the Bulldogs. Here is a list of the guys we know are coming in this weekend and our analysis on their chances of committing.

|Ricky Pemasa - OLB/RB - Orange, CA (5'11", 210, 4.5)|
RedWave Comments: The Bulldogs are recruiting Pemasa as an outside linebacker, which is different than most of the teams recruiting him. Pemasa told RedWaveReport last weekend that if had to choose between the two, he would prefer playing on the defensive side of the ball.

RedWave Comments: Committed to Fresno State in mid November and a great addition to the class of 2008. The Bulldogs have indicated to Spacht that they think he could come in right away and challenge for a starting position as a true freshman.
