Is Brian Christopher still an option for Tech?
Though the recruiting blitz gets hectic for most recruits during this time of the year, Brian Christopher is truly getting it from all angles. Not only is he undecided about where he'd like to play college ball, two of his best friends and teammates, Lavunce Askew and DeAnthony Curtis, are also torn as to where they want to attend college.
Christopher likens it to being caught in a cross-fire.
"It's insane man," he laughed. "There's all these coaches coming to see all three of us all the time and it's just been insane. It's been fun, but it's been a little bit crazy."
So who's been by to see Christopher?
"Well, pretty much all the schools I have offers from, Arkansas St., Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech," he explained. "And also Mississippi St. and Tennessee have been stepping up their interest as well."
Only adding to the insanity is the fact that Arkansas just hired Bobby Petrino away from the Atlanta Falcons.
"I don't think anyone's really had a chance to talk to anyone about it just yet," said the 6-foot-4, 240-pound lineman. "I'm sure that will make their decisions a little tougher though."
However, to hear Christopher tell it, no one should be worried about Petrino wooing him to be a Razorback.
"Man, I don't want anything to do with Arkansas," he said. "I have no interest in them at all. I don't know how to explain it- I just didn't like that place very much. It's a cool place and all, but it's just not right at all for me."
The two-star defensive end, who officially visited Texas Tech in October with Askew, says he'll take his second official visit this weekend.
"I'm going to take an official visit to Oklahoma State this weekend," he explained. "Lavunce and DeAnthony went up there last week and I think they had an OK time, so I'm just going to see what they have to offer."
Christopher is leaning towards making a decision right before signing day.
