Four-star cornerback is lone ISU visitor

Talk about individual attention. Iowa State is hosting a grand total of one official visitor this weekend for football recruiting. And he's a good one. Four-star JUCO cornerback Maurice Gray from Butler Community College in El Dorado (Kan.) is graduating mid-year and he's very close to making his final decision, signing, and reporting for second semester classes in January.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound native of Warner Robins (Ga.) is more than likely looking at an Iowa State or Oklahoma State decision. He visited OSU officially last weekend and had good things to say about the Cowboys on the backside of that. Now ISU gets what appears to be the last at-bat in the contest to secure a commitment from Gray, ranked as the no. 27 junior college prospect in America by Rivals.com.

Gray piled up offers from Arizona State, Kansas, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Troy and Middle Tennessee State in addition to his two final favorites.
