Four-star enjoying all-star competition
The annual all-star classic between Alabama and Mississippi is loaded with blue-chip prospects and top flight players. One of the early strengths of the Alabama squad is a physical and athletic linebacking corps and one if its leaders is four-star outside linebacker, Jerrell Harris.
Harris has shown good sideline-to-sideline athleticism through the first few days of all-star practice and continues to show why he is one of the top uncommitted prospects in the entire country.
While some players enter an all-star week with hopes of scoring more recruiting attention or to make a name for themselves, Harris made the trip for the competition itself.
"It's been a great experience playing against all of these great players from Alabama," Harris said. "Everybody's been coming up with big catches like Dekendrick (Moncrief) from Prattville and Julio (Jones). Everybody's been playing good. I just wanted to come in here and have fun and dominate. I want to show what Alabama is all about."
Harris would be a big signee for any school but claims that five schools are still in the running.
"Right now it's Southern California, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and Tennessee," the 6-2 senior said. "Everybody is even right now. I already took an official visit to Alabama so I still got Auburn, Clemson, Southern Cal and Tennessee still left."
The determining factor for Harris looks to be just the general feel for the campus and the coaches.
"The determining factor for me is just the way I feel when I step on campus," Harris said.
