Fast rising athlete visits TCU

Mt. Pleasant, Texas athlete Trentson Hill has seen his stock rise by leaps and bounds in the last part of the 2008 recruiting season. A soft commit to Tulsa, Hill is looking at other options lately, and he has some good ones to look at.

The 6-foot, 177-pounder has offers from TCU, Baylor, UTEP, and Tulsa and Arkansas has started to show Hill interest. Named 11-4A Offensive MVP, the do-it-all athlete racked up 22 receptions for 396 yards and 11 scores. Hill also shone on defense recording 72 tackles including 5 interceptions and 11 pass breakups.

Hill was in Ft. Worth this weekend to catch a glimpse of one of his favorites, TCU.

"I really liked it," he said. "My host was Jimmy(Young) and I liked him. It was real fun down there. They're recruiting me as an athlete, they told me I could play on either side of the ball. Coach Anderson is recruiting me, the thing I like about them is the way the coaches talk to me."

So was the visit enough to pull a commitment from the fast-rising prospect?

"I didn't commit," he said. "I want to take my visit to Baylor first. I'm going there on the 11th. I'll probably be making my decision after I take the Baylor visit. I may go visit Tulsa, but I don't have any date set."
