Hanna to visit Appalachian State
At the start of spring practice there will be several glaring faces missing from the Appalachian State football roster, as a handful of its mainstays and stars will no longer be with the program. One of the players that will be absent from the group is tight end Nic Cardwell.
With Cardwell's eligibility now used up, the coaching staff will be looking to fill the hole he has left and then some with the 2008 recruiting class. One potential replacement is 6-foot-4, 240-pound two-star senior Christian Hanna from Shaker Heights (Ohio) High School.
Hanna, who saw his recruitment pick up after sending out his highlight film, began receiving interest from App State in early November. Since that time, the attention from the Mountaineers has increased and the talented Hanna has reciprocated with a strong sense of intrigue.
