Cooper sets visit to Michigan

No matter what defense is run, or how the scheme will change from last year's, Michigan's need for safeties in the class of 2008 remains the same after the transition from Lloyd Carr to Rich Rodriguez. Michigan has not secured a single commitment from a safety prospect in the class. Meanwhile, the need is for at least one immediate impact freshman and possibly several more for adequate depth.

Michigan was in on several safeties across the country before the coaching change took place. One of those whom the Wolverines shared mutual interest with is Dallas (Tex.) Skyline's Keanon Cooper. That interest level from the 6-0, 190-pound Cooper may be even higher now, however, than it was before.
