Duncanville junior receiver has break out season

The Duncanville Panthers won a state title in the 1990s under late coach Bob Alpert by running the ball in every way imaginable out of the I formation - the option, sweeps, stretch plays.

And although the Panthers continued their tradition last year by running more than twice as much as they threw it, Duncanville slung the ball around more than they ever had before.

In the process, the Panthers found perhaps the best receiver in school history.

Six-foot-2, 185-pound Jordan Selexman caught only four passes as a sophomore, but exploded onto the scene as a junior in 2007. Selexman caught 42 passes for 723 yards and 10 touchdowns. He had more receptions and yardage than all of the other Panther receivers combined, and brought a new dimension to the Duncanville offense.
