Johnson to WVU?

Georgia tight ends coach David Johnson has spoken with West Virginia head coach Bill Stewart, a source told UGAsports.com Monday.

According to the source, Johnson met with Stewart in Morgantown to discuss the offensive line position with the Mountaineers.

Johnson has been with Georgia since 2001, where he has coached the Bulldogs' tight ends since to Athens from Marshall where he coached from 1997-2000.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Johnson played for West Virginia where he was a four-year letterman from 1979-83.

Bulldog tight end Bruce Figgins was not aware of any impending move when contacted.

"That's the first I've heard of anything," Figgins said.
