Auburn adds in-state defensive end

After tearing a ligament in his ankle in the third week of his senior season, not many heard much more out of Clanton (Ala.) Chilton County DE Derrick Lykes.

Some had even written him off.

But not Auburn.

The Tigers continued their pursuit of the 6-foot-4, 275-pounder, and it apparently has paid off.

Lykes, who had 18 sacks as a junior, said he is committed to Auburn and plans to sign with the Tigers in February.
