Georgia travels north to visit Savage
One of the top quarterbacks in the country was recently named the Army All-American junior combine MVP and that was Tom Savage. A school the Rivals100 QB has interest in visited him Tuesday and that was the University of Georgia.
"Georgia's Coach [Mike] Bobo came by on Tuesday and he talked to my coach about me for a while," said Savage. "I have talked to Coach Bobo on the phone a few times before, so I thought it was pretty cool that he came up to my school."
It seems Georgia's Quarterback Coach and Offensive Coordinator has been making his rounds this week trying to pin point who he wants to target in 2009.
Offers are slowly starting to get out of Athens and the 6-foot-4, 226-pound Pennsylvania QB thinks he could be one of the lucky ones to reel in an offer from the Bulldogs.
"After my coach talked to Coach Bobo, my coach talked to me and he said Georgia likes me a lot and that they might be sending me an offer soon. My coach said that Coach Bobo liked me a lot and that he was really impressed with me."
Coach Bobo may be impressed with Savage, but Savage is also impressed with him.
"I really like the fact that he actually played the quarterback position and he played it at Georgia," said the talented junior. "He knows the game and he knows the position and that is a big key for me. He played quarterback on the Division I level and that is huge. That means a lot."
