Four-star safety sets Michigan visit

Rich Rodriguez's newly assembled staff at Michigan has brought together several coaches from varying parts of the country. In linebackers coach Jay Hopson, Michigan is getting a former defensive coordinator with strong ties to the South, specifically the state of Mississippi. Those ties have helped the Wolverines get in the door with Clarksdale (Miss.) four-star safety Charles Mitchell.

The 5-11, 190-pound Mitchell is ranked as the No. 10 safety prospect and the No. 162 overall player in the country by Rivals.com. He holds offers from the likes of Nebraska, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Southern Miss.
