Three offers in for South GA ATH

Lowndes County always has a good football team, but they do not always have that top division one football prospect. In 2009, they will and he is athlete Greg Reid. Reid could play a couple of different positions and schools have noticed him already. Three offers are in and he has a leader.

"Virginia Tech was the first school to offer me," said Reid. "They sent me an offer in the mail a few weeks ago and it surprised me. It just kind of popped up without them even recruiting me."

"Florida then came to my school and it was Coach [John] Hevesey there and he offered me a scholarship next. It was a verbal offer and I am waiting for the letter, he said it would be in the mail."

"My third offer is from Florida International. Their coach came to the school too and offered me and said they would be mailing the offer soon."

Could a fourth offer be on its way?

"Georgia's Coach [Willie] Martinez came by the school a couple of weeks ago and I think he likes me. They are recruiting me pretty hard and I think they might offer me soon."

Other schools are showing interest in this 5-foot-9, 185-pound athlete out of South Georgia.

"I am getting a lot of mail from Rutgers, Clemson, Wake Forest, Indiana and Vanderbilt," Reid said. "I get other letters too, but I hear from those schools the most."
