Plumlee interest increasing?
Duke basketball proved on Wednesday night that you don't always need a post presence to pull off big wins, and they've certainly shown you don't necessarily require one to climb your way up the rankings. Unfortunately, it won't always be like that and there will come a time and place when featuring another big body will be key to walking away with a victory.
The goal for Mike Krzyzewski and his coaching staff is to make sure they pull in some help in the post, by adding some size to the roster with the 2009 class. The objective is sign a big, bruiser type of post player (see Greg Echenique) and a skilled big man that can play inside and out.
So far, the Blue Devils staff has targeted a handful that fit the bill and and a name that seems to be coming up often these days is that of Mason Plumlee from Arden (N.C.) Christ School. At 6-foot-10, 205 pounds, Plumlee has been playing very well this season and Duke assistant coach Chris Collins has taken notice.
