Greenlee on the mend, pushing for starting duties

When the whistle blows signaling the start of the 2008 season, Florida State will have several new starters on the field. As a result of graduation and suspensions, a large number inexperienced players, and even some freshmen, will be pressed into starting roles in the season opener.

One of the positions hit hardest by the lack of numbers is offensive tackle.

For starters, Shannon Boatman and David Overmyer, who had a combined 49 starts on the offensive line, have graduated. Further adding to the crunch at tackle, Daron Rose, who started 11 games last season at right tackle, is currently attempting to overcome some academic hurdles. That means offensive line coach Rick Trickett must replace at least one, or possibly or both of his offensive tackles by the opener against Western Carolina.

This position could get a huge boost if former Rivals100 lineman Antwane Greenlee was healthy enough to return to action.
