One of the Nation's best visits Georgia
Most of the prospects on Georgia's campus this weekend were in-state recruits, but one of the out-of-state prospects there is one of the best in the country. Nationally ranked linebacker Tana Patrick out of Stevenson (Ala.) - North Jackson made the trip to Athens for Junior Day and he had a good visit.
"Everything was real nice and I got a chance to talk with Coach [Stacy] Searels, Coach [Rodney] Garner, and Coach [Mark] Richt during the visit," said Patrick.
"I got to tour the campus, meet some of the players, see some of the things Georgia has and it was all nice. I had been there for a camp last year, so I had an idea about things, but I saw a lot more this time."
The humble linebacker out of Alabama spent some time with a couple of Georgia assistant coaches and he said they pretty much echoed each other.
"When I talked to Coach Garner and Coach Searels, they both talked about getting ready for spring practice, getting ready for next season, and things like that. Not too much was said about recruiting or anything."
The same thing went for Patrick's time with Coach Richt.
"We did not talk about too much specific, but just had a nice conversation. We did not talk too long, but it was cool to talk with him."
