Spratte one of Wisconsin's best

There are several Husker legacies who signed letters-of-intent or gentlemen's' agreements in Nebraska's 2008 recruiting class. One who signed the latter is NU walk-on prospect Steve Spratte from Waukesha (Wis.) West High. The 5-11, 180-pound Spratte is the son of Todd Spratte who played linebacker at Nebraska in the early-80's.

A four year starter at running back, Spratte rushed for 1,816 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior. He tallied 53 total touchdowns in his high school career.
