Roberts grabs first offer

South Garland High's 2008 senior class was peppered throughout the Big 12 with Steven and Courtney Osborne signing with Nebraska, Joseph Ibiloye heading to Oklahoma, and quarterback Nick Florence to Baylor.

The Colonels saw their coach, Mickey Moss, and one of their top 2009 prospects, linebacker Austin Moss, head to Rockwall Heath, but there are South Garland players college coaches plan to check out over the course of the spring.

Offensive lineman Jeramie Roberts (6-4, 305) may be the hottest right now. Roberts played both offensive and defensive line, but most of his interest is coming at offensive guard and hopes to show college coaches more of what he can do on offense as soon as possible.
