Frogs add JUCO gem to '08 class

The TCU football team in the midst of a great 2009 recruiting class, is adding some finishing touches to the 2008 class with the addition of Tyler Junior College cornerback Jason Teague.

Teague, the 6-foot-3, 195-pounder out of Carthage, Texas originally signed with LSU after a heated battle with TCU in 2006 but found his way the last two seasons in Tyler to straighten up some academics.

As a senior in 2006 Teague earned first-team class 3A All-State honors after recording 79 tackles, 8 interceptions, 9 PBU, 4 FF, 3 FR, and an amazing 5 blocked punts.

After his stellar season Teague's stock shot through the roof and was rated No. 30 in the country at cornerback by Rivals.com. He also finished as the 65th overall player in the Texas Rivals 100 rankings and played in the THSCA All-Star game.

At Tyler Junior College, Teague earned first-team All-SWJCFC honors at cornerback in 2007 and was rated as 53rd overall prospect in the Rivals top 100 junior college rankings.

Teague, who also held offers from Oklahoma, Texas A&M, UTEP, Baylor, and Houston out of high school gives the Frogs size at the corner spot and should contribute immediately into the Frogs rotation.
