SoCal corner locks it down

Cornerback J.B. Dock (5-11, 165, 4.5) from Ventura (Calif.) Saint Bonaventure is a solid lockdown corner who is a player to keep your eye on as the recruiting season progresses.

Dock plays mostly corner for the Seraphs, but will also log sometime at the safety position this fall.

Dock has been a starter since his sophomore year and was playing lights out his junior season until he sprained his MCL and ended up missing six games. He came back in time for the CIF game against Newhall (Calif.) Hart and played outstanding. He even picked off a pass and was instrumental in Saint Bonaventure's 48-28 victory.

"J.B. has great feet," St. Bonaventure coach Todd Therrien said. I would say he has the prettiest footwork in the country. It's just not me saying this, but he impressed everybody at the USC skills camp last June.

"Not only is J.B. a great player, but he might be the most coachable kid I have ever been around," Therrien said. "He has a great work ethic.

On the recruiting front, Bock is getting early interest from Arizona, California, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, and San Diego State.
