Four-star OL visits Iowa City

One of the top prospects at Iowa's junior day on Sunday was four-star offensive lineman Patrick Ward, who Rivals.com ranks at No. 105 in the nation in the early top 250. The 6-foot-6, 295-pound Ward, who attends Providence Catholic High School in Illinois, enjoyed the opportunity to watch the Hawkeyes at work in spring practice.

Ward, who received an offer from Iowa back in February, also had the chance to catch up with the coaching staff, including lead recruiter Lester Erb. After the junior day visit and a trip to Kinnick Stadium last fall, the Hawkeyes remain in the thick of things for the four-star offensive lineman.

Currently, Ward is up to thirteen scholarship offers with the latest coming from Minnesota and Michigan State. Among his other offers are Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, Stanford, Virginia, Wisconsin and Missouri. Right now, the junior hopes to make his college decision before the 2008 football season.
